Managing Scripts
You can rename, organise, reorder, delete and export scripts easily from Teleprompter Pro.
Rename a Script
To change the name or title of a script in Teleprompter Pro:
- Go to My Scripts
- Tap and hold on the script you’d like to rename
- Select
Rename
- Type the new name for your script
- Tap
Save
Your script will now have the new name you entered, making it easier to identify and search.
Reorder Scripts
To change the order of your scripts in Teleprompter Pro:
- Go to My Scripts
- Tap
Edit
- Select one of the arrangement options that appear:
Newest
,Oldest
,A-Z
,Z-A
orCustom
- Tap
Done
Your script will now be arranged into the order you have selected.
Custom Order
If you select Custom
from the arrangement options, you’ll be able to arrange your scripts into any specific order.
After Custom
is selected, tap and hold on any script, to begin dragging it into a new position.
Once you have arrange your scripts, tap Done
.
Export a Script
You can export your scripts to create a standard file which can be shared with others.
To export a script in Teleprompter Pro:
- Go to My Scripts
- Tap and hold on the script you’d like to export
- Select
Export...
- Select one of the available export options that appear:
Rich Text
,Plain Text
orTeleprompter File
- Use the share menu that appears to share or save the exported document
You can export your scripts from Teleprompter in these formats:
- Rich Text will create a .rtf document which will include your scripts rich formatting, such as text colours and bold/italic etc.
- Plain Text will create a .txt document containing only the plain text from your script, without any formatting.
- Teleprompter File will create a .prompt document, compatible only with Teleprompter Pro and our associated apps, containing your script and all associated formatting and settings, such as scroll speed and background colour etc.
Delete a Script
To delete a script in Teleprompter Pro:
- Go to My Scripts
- Tap and hold on the script you’d like to delete
- Select
Delete
- Tap
Delete

Delete Multiple Scripts
You can also delete multiple scripts at once:
- Go to My Scripts
- Tap
Edit
- Tap on each script you’d like to delete, your selected scripts will have a blue outline
- Tap
- Tap
Delete
to confirm
Search for Scripts
You can search for scripts based on their title or contents:
- Go to My Scripts
- If the search bar isn’t visible, scroll upwards to reveal the search bar
- Type your search term, such as a word or phrase that exists in your script’s title or content
- Matches to your search will be shown
