Formatting
Formatting the content of your scripts in Teleprompter Pro, such as rich formatting including colours and bold/italic/underline.
You can also insert Cue Points into your script, allowing you to quickly jump to specific locations in your script.
Compose a Script with Rich Formatting
The script editor in Teleprompter Pro allows you to add rich formatting including colour, highlights and bold/italic/underline.
To open the script editor:
- Open any script in Teleprompter Pro, or create a new script
- Tap
Edit Script
at the top
Use the toolbar that appears above the keyboard for rich text formatting. Similar to formatting a document in Word, Google Docs or Pages, simply select a portion of text to apply your formatting to.
Text Colours
To change the colour of a portion of text, select some text in your script, then tap in the toolbar to select a new colour.
Text Highlights
To add a highlight colour of a portion of text, select some text in your script, then tap in the toolbar to select a highlight colour.
Bold, Italic and Underline
To add bold, italic or underline to a portion of text, select some text in your script, then tap any of the bold, italic or underline options in the toolbar.
Left, Center, Right and Justify Text
To change the text alignment, including justify, tap any of the alignment options in the toolbar.
Remove Formatting
To remove any formatting from a portion of text, select some text in your script, then tap Clear Formatting
in the menu that appears.
Import a Document with Rich Formatting
You can import a document into Teleprompter Pro with rich formatting, such as coloured text.
Your document must be saved as a Rich Text .rtf document.
To import a document with rich formatting:
- Follow the normal steps for importing a document
- When prompted, select
Use Document Formatting
Your document will be imported preserving rich formatting such as text colours. Your document will be imported with a white background by default.
Cue Points
Cue Points are locations in your script that you can quickly navigate to.
To add a cue point into your script, type >>>
anywhere in your script. This text will now become a cue point.
To navigate between cue points, use the and buttons, or a connected controller.
